Fun with Frosting at the Grand America

It has been a whirlwind few weeks and I am just now digesting the awesomeness that it has been.  First I just had to put into words and photos the amazing time that was the 1st EVER Cupcake Conference at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Cupcake Summer Social was a huge success.  And I am not just saying that because I am biased as one of the co-hosts.  It was truly beyond my wildest expectations.  The Concierge Lounge at the Grand America is just as you would expect, GORGEOUS.

And if I didn't mind being awkward I would have stared out the window at the breathtaking view all night long.

Thankfully I didn't though.  Or I would have missed all the fun we had in store.  Like listening to the Grand America pastry chef Fernanda Dutra discuss her inspirations in the kitchen.

And watching all the wild cuppycake decorating action.

And let's not forget the winner!!!

What would a Cupcake Conference be without cupcakes?  Well just a conference, and quite frankly a less delicious one all together.  And to say I have decorative envy would be an understatement.

Of course the highlight of the evening was meeting friends old and new.  I was going to say old and young but I didn't really want to answer to any of y'all.

Thanks to everyone who came and made this event a success!  And of course a huge thanks to Becky, Gina, and Ryley!
